Dancing since the age of 3, Tara spent her childhood in ballet, tap, and jazz classes. She danced on her high school dance and drill teams in Texas and received her BFA in Dance Performance from Missouri State University where she studied with Rhythm McCarthy, Sara Brummel, and E.E Balcos. She has attended summer workshops at Bates Dance Festival and the Bill Evans Dance Teachers’ and Dancers’ Intensive. Tara performed across the midwest with Inertia Dance Company and had the honor of having choreography chosen to be performed at American College Dance Festivals.

Tara loves teaching and is excited to be back at Definitive Dance. She specializes in creative movement, parent/toddler, tap, pre-ballet, and jazz.

Outside the studio, Tara can be found working on her real estate business or exploring the Puget Sound with her daughter Zoe and husband Noah.
